Support Groups
Man to Man – This group offers education and support to men facing any type of cancer. It meets the last Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the American Cancer Society office (2619 Centennial Blvd., Tallahassee). Look Good Feel Better – This free group is for any woman in active cancer treatment. Local volunteer cosmetologists teach techniques for combating the effects treatment has on a woman’s appearance. It meets every other month at Capital Regional Cancer Center. On the alternating months, it meets at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Leukemia and Lymphoma Support Group – This group is for anyone with leukemia or lymphoma. It meets at the Cabot Lodge (1653 Raymond Diehl Road, Tallahassee) on the second Thursday of every odd month. I Can Cope – Offers educational classes for cancer patients and their families. It is taught by medical professionals and community representatives. It meets every Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital’s Angie Deeb Cancer Unit (7th floor Gathering Place). Please call Angela Singh (599-3369) for more information.

Prostate Screenings
Capital Regional Cancer Center offers free prostate cancer screenings each September. More information will be available as the event approaches. Please check back with us!
Who should attend the screenings?
- Men who are over 50 years old and have not had a prostate cancer diagnosis.
- Men who are 40 years old and above, who have not been diagnosed with prostate cancer but are at high risk (i.e. African American men and men who have a first degree relative with prostate cancer).
