Meet Our Staff
Clif Buell, Director of Oncology Services
Clif Buell came to Capital Regional Cancer Center as the Director in July of 2007, from Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, NY. Trained as an anthropologist and archaeologist, Clif started in health care in 1980 working with cancer data and clinical cancer research. He took on numerous administrative responsibilities, eventually becoming Administrative Director of the Bassett Healthcare Regional Cancer Program in 1999. That program served a rural part of upstate New York and included three radiation therapy sites, five sites for chemotherapy, a mobile mammography unit and a staff of nearly fifty physicians and support staff.
Clif has been an active member of the American Cancer Society, serving as a volunteer, Board member and on numerous committees since 1983. He is strong supporter of patient services and helped establish the local Man-to-Man support group. He has also worked to develop a support group for patients with blood and lymph cancers in conjunction with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and is a member of the Northwest Florida Cancer Control Collaborative.
JoAnna Corry, ROCC
JoAnna Corry came to Capital Regional Cancer Center in the summer of 2005, having had over ten years of experience in medical billing and collection. Since coming to Capital Regional Cancer Center, she has become a Radiation Oncology Certified Coder and has expanded her role to provide coding and billing services to numerous centers within the HCA Oncology Division. Accurate coding and billing requires significant attention to detail and helps assure that patients are only billed for the services that were legitimately provided and that the center is fairly reimbursed for those services.

Angelia attended Florida State University and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. In 1997, fresh out of college, she started working at Tallahassee Community Hospital (now known as "Capital Regional Medical Center"). In 2009, she moved to Capital Regional Cancer Center to take the role of the Oncology Patient Navigator. This current role is one she enjoys very much because it allows her to positively impact her patients’ and families’ lives during a difficult, and often, scary time.
